Mastering HSK Grammar: Using 都…了

Today, we’ll learn the grammar from HSK-2, Chapter 15. This structure means “already” and is often used to show a strong feeling or complaint.

Grammar Structure:
都…了
When used with time, don’t include the subject.

  • 都 + time + 了
  • Subject + 都 + predicate + 了

The predicate can be a verb or an adjective.

Examples:

  1. 都十一点了,他还没回家。
  2. 这条裙子她都穿了,你穿新的吧。
  3. 我都给他打了3次电话,他还没回我。
  4. 都十二点了,我还是睡不着。
  5. 小丽的衣服都洗了。
